Yough Mountain Lodge

Nestled in the scenic mountains of western Maryland, the members of the Youghiogheny Mountain Resort community enjoy peaceful surroundings, beautiful views and abundant wildlife. The Youghiogheny Homeowners Association is glad to have you as a neighbor. Our community is unique in that we have over 2400 acres and over 50 miles of ATV, snowmobile and hiking trails. The YMR offers something for everyone. We have several fishing areas and a designated hunting area. The Youghiogheny Mountain Resort is located only minutes from Deep Creek Lake, The Wisp Ski Resort, Swallow Falls State Park, Herrington Manor State Park, Garrett State Park and many other attractions.

This website is maintained by the YHOA and is designed to be a communication center and an information resource for our residents. Check here often for updated information and new content. Please feel free to Contact Us with your comments and suggestions.

You must register to access the “Members Only” section of our site. If you are not currently a member but are interested in becoming one, please check out the real estate section. We offer a limited number of parcels for sale each year.

Parking is strictly prohibited on YMR roadways.  Property owners are required to park their vehicles on their own property, within their property lines.  Cars/Trucks/etc. parked on YMR roadways impede motorists ability to safely navigate roads and intersections and hinder our ability to adequately plow the roads.  Vehicles parked on YMR roadways will be TOWED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE.
If you require temporary alternate parking, please see Fred who will direct you to an alternate location to park, either at the designated parking area at the office or the community center.  Thank you!

Important Information
Each year the YHOA holds an Annual Membership Meeting on the second Saturday in July.  This year the meeting is on July 12 at 10am in the Lodge.  This meeting is open for participation by all members-in-good-standing of the YHOA.    This meeting is not just for election results for the Board.  This is an informative open meeting and is a great chance for you to learn about what's happening in the community and to ask questions and voice your recommendations and concerns.  Even though the membership elects a board of directors to oversee the management of the assocation, this board does not operate in a vacuum and utilizes your input and suggestions in every decision they make affecting the YHOA, corporation and it's members.   Please try to attend, we hope to see you there!
Election ballots were mailed out at the beginning of June to each YHOA members address of record.  If you did not receive a ballot, please contact us at  All ballots must be received by Boal and Associates no later than July 9th.  Only YHOA members-in-good-standing (those whose assessments are current) are eligible to vote, so please make sure your assessments are up to date.  If you miss the deadline for mail in, you may attend the meeting on July 12th and turn your vote in to the election committee in-person on that date.
Time—Do any of us have enough of it?
We all only have so much free time in our lives, and giving some of it up to serve on a boring old committee does not sound very appealing, does it? Please remember that the work done by these committees improves our community for all. If all of us would donate just a little bit of our free time, imagine the things we could accomplish. Contact us at to help.
*Additional Committee Contact Information may be found on the Committee page of this website.
